Shell Lounge Chair

  • Design proposal - 2005
  • architect/s - Marco De Gregorio

Concept
The Shell Lounge Chair consists of two different texturally and conceptually shaped elements. One is an organic sinuous smooth and translucent frame that forms the design features of the chair and with the use of the material Corian, it emphasizes the lightness and the monolithic aspects of the object. The other one is a raw cube of recycled foam rubber that is the core of the lounge chair and functions as the seat. Designed with an absence of complex details they form together a new and different tactical approach for domestic or public use.
