De Gregorio Henriksen Architects – is a Barcelona based multidisciplinary architecture studio founded by the architects Marco De Gregorio and Jan Henriksen in 2007. “We aim to create spaces and objects that are unique and embody our honest, authentic approach balancing aesthetics with functionality.“
Marco De Gregorio – qualifying as an Architect in 2004 In Italy he has worked in diverse architectural offices and has been executing several private commissions. After he moved to Barcelona, where he worked at EMBT Miralles-Tagliabue, he founded a multidisciplinary architecture studio De Gregorio Henriksen Architects, since 2007.
Exploring from the urban scale to residential building, characterized by the same level of attention to details as well about designing furniture and graphical art works. Furthermore, he had been concerned by developing the research on Digital Art-Architecture pursuing the aesthetic and the virtual space, participating in several exhibitions and publications.
Jan Henriksen – Born in Copenhagen, Denmark and was qualified as an architect in 1988 from the Architecture School of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He has worked for several architecture offices in Copenhagen, London and Paris. From 1993 he has worked as an independent architect in Copenhagen, NYC, London and Barcelona and has participated and won prices in several urban planning competitions and carried out numerous house and flat renovations. Besides he is writing in newspapers about urban planning, architecture and art museums.
